Product Features

Screen Resolution:

The Dragonfly 4PRO comes with a 4.3-inch LCD screen that provides images at 480 x 272 WQVGA. This is a high definition resolution that allows the angler to view images that are sharper and bright. It gives the angler a chance to view images from various angles. The unit can display 480 dots in each row from left to right and 272 dots in each column downward.

This is sufficient to enable the angler to see more details of the images of objects within the targeted area. It allows them to map the area with the type of fish they are interested in. When we put together the high screen resolution and the 4.3” screen, it gives the angler an upper hand, and it guarantees them a good catch.

The transmission power is a critical factor in a fish finder. The wattage of the finder determines how fast it can display the transmitted images. Dragonfly 4PRO boasts of a 500w RMS and 4000w peak to peak transmission power.

This makes it easy for the finder to receive the sonar waves, a thing that makes the reading much clearer. It makes the unit the best option for anglers planning to fish in shallow rivers and those planning to fish in deep waters. The finder can show reading up to 600 feet for both sonar and DownVision.

It means that the unit can be a good companion for anglers planning their trip to salt water bodies or those planning to visit great lakes.

A colored screen does not just allow for greater details but enables the angler to differentiate between the fish and other objects such as weeds. A fish finder with a colored screen enables you to see what is going on in the bed of the river or lake. The angler is also able to read it regardless of whether it is dark or cloudy.

The colored screen gives images that are brighter and sharper. If the screen is fog resistant, it makes it easier to read the screen even when the fog is heavy. Buying a finder with a huge colored screen will give you a clear picture of what is happening in the background and enables you to make decisions that guarantee you a bigger catch.

The Dragonfly 4PRO is equipped with the highly ranked sonar technology that is enjoyed by anglers. It a dual Channel CHIRP with frequencies of 50/200 kHz and 83/200 kHz. The unit emits beam pulses over multiple frequencies and results in images that are clearer. This unit emits 60-degree signals that create a monotone display.

The sonar can emit and receive signals that allow for the formation of images of objects found at a depth of 6000 feet. The angler can view and differentiate images of game fish, bait fish, terrain features, and vegetation.

The low frequencies of 50 and 83 kHz enables the angler to monitor everything that happens in deep water while the higher frequencies enable the angler to use the tool to map fish rich areas in shallow waters. The high frequencies allow more details to show up on the screen.

Transducers emit sonar waves which are signals that are sent into the water to help find the objects on the lake bed. About this, the Dragonfly 4PRO uses the CHIRP technology which transmits a wide spectrum of sonar signals into the water.

When the waves bounce off the objects under water, they are once more picked up by the transducers and translated into pictures that the angler can understand and use to make a decision.

If you are a full-time angler, you need a fish finder that can help you map out areas with the type of fish you are targeting. One of the devices that can help to show you all the underwater structures where the fish hide is the Dragonfly 4.

The unit comes with a screen with very good resolution, has CHIRP sonars that are easy to install and use.
